THE FAMOUS Peregrine Falcons nest on the Joseph Smith Memorial Building has seen no activity since 2015. We will update if a new pair nests in the box.

Who you Gonna Call?
If you see Solo leave the nest, please call Bob at 801 209-5326 no matter what time ;)
It's gonna be roasting in that nest. Watch for early morning fledge in the next few days. Many of our fledges happen before 6:30am local time.

WOW...what a totally different morning so far...Solo has eaten and is zonked in the corner. No fly bys, no touch and go's by the parents..unless they did this very early!!
Solo was up and sitting on the rock by 5:30AM when the light was still dim. I didn't spot much activity until the 6:30 feeding. Every day she's looking more mature. I can spot the watchers in the garden below and am so glad they are looking out for her.
Fantastic video--thank you! I'm always in awe of the parents and what marvelous teachers they are. I remember last year the parents doing prey exchanges above Boxer and she was just enthralled. These birds are so amazing! Felicia
Just a couple of questions - once Solo leaves the nest will she return for awhile or will she just fly off and we never see her again, and since the parents come back year after year does Solo come back to the area also and try to habitat the nest?
Solo will not return to the nest. she will not be that good of a flyer or lander, the box is a difficult target for an unexperienced juvie. He will be flying from building to building after a day or so. At first, he will get on one building or land in the gardens, in which case we pick him up and Bob takes him on an elevator ride to the top floor of that building for release. Watch for photos on this blog, once he fledges.
