Our rehabber deliveredd Primo to The Birds of Prey Foundation in Broomfield (about seventeen miles northwest of Denver) yesterday.
The Birds of Prey Foundation “is a non-profit foundation
whose mission is to rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned raptors back
into the wild”. The Foundation was officially chartered in the state of
Colorado as a non-profit corporation in October, 1984 and is presently “the
largest raptor center in Colorado admitting over 500 injured and orphaned
raptors from all over the State each year”. To learn more about the Foundation

Of course, we’re all curious as to how long Primo will
remain in Colorado for determination of flight worthiness. The best answer is that’s up to Primo. If all goes well, October might be the
time of return of Primo to Utah. If
things do not go so well, the Spring of 2013 may be most appropriate. Unfortunately, since there are no guarantees,
other alternatives may well require discussion and consideration as well.

Thanks for the update Liz. Any new about the haws that have been near the north end of Redwood Road? I haven't seen them for a week or so.
